Erin Vassilopoulos (they/Erin) is a director and writer making personal, genre-bending films. Their first directorial feature, SUPERIOR (co-writer Ale Mesa), premiered in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, was a NYTimes Critic's Pick, and is currently streaming on MUBI. Erin's follow-up feature, DESTROY ALL GIRLS, (co-writers Ani Mesa-Perez and Gil Perez-Abraham), is having its World Premiere at the 79th Locarno International Film Festival in August. 

 

They are also developing A MALL AND THE NIGHT, a psychosexual thriller unfolding in a dying shopping mall, and IF ONLY TONIGHT WE COULD SLEEP (co-writer Ariane Hahusseau), a Gothic/body horror tale of insomnia. ​

In addition to filmmaking Erin has directed music videos for Horsegirl, Parquet Courts, NOIA, Thus Love, and The Wants.
